International Initiatives

The mission of the Office of International Initiatives is to develop and implement plans to internationalize the College of Arts and Sciences.  

Components of this Internationalization include:

• Agreements of Cooperation with International Academic Institutions
• Involvement of the EMU Community
• Implementation of the Strategic Plan to internationalize the College
• Resources for faculty to study or work in other countries and for visiting scholars from around the world

As global education becomes more important in the face of internationalization, this Office will provide the resources for:

• Strategic Planning
• Implementing international collaborations, programs and agreements
• Raising awareness of international projects and involvement within the College of Arts and Sciences
• Creating opportunities for faculty and students to experience international perspectives both inside and outside the classroom
