Articulation Agreement Guides

FALL 2014 MACRAO/MTA ALERT!

Students who began college in September 2014 or later will not be able to use the MACRAO requirements listed on some of the articulation guides linked on this page. If you started college in the fall semester of 2014 or later, completing the requirements of the Michigan Transfer Agreement (MTA) will satisfy EMU's general education core requirements. We are updating articulation agreement guides with the MTA requirements as the agreements are renewed. You may use this MTA Curriculum Planning worksheet to help you select MTA courses from the lists of approved courses provided by the community colleges. If you started college prior to the fall semester of 2014, you have until the end of summer semester 2019 to have the MACRAO requirements evaluated and added to your transcript by your community college. You also have the option of updating to the MTA.

Effective Dates

Articulation agreements are renewed every three years and may receive minor updates more frequently. In the event that an articulation agreement is not renewed at the end of its effective period, students who already started the articulated program will have an additional three years to transfer to EMU under the terms of the agreement. If an agreement listed here has passed the ending date of its effective period, located on the last page of the guide, contact the Community College Relations office to find out if the agreement is going to be renewed.

A student may use the requirements of the articulation guide in effect at the time of the student's initial registration at a community college or the requirements of a subsequent articulation guide. In the event the student does not complete the degree requirements within seven years, the student may be required to have his/her credits evaluated in keeping with a more recent articulation agreement guide or catalog. Archived MACRAO versions of articulation guides may be accessed at this link or by calling the Community College Relations Office (734.487.6577).
