Larry Barkoff is assistant general counsel with the Legal Affairs Division at Eastern Michigan University (EMU), providing support to EMU’s Charter Schools Office. Mr. Barkoff has been in this position since 2002.

Mr. Barkoff’s educational background includes a B.A. degree in international relations from the James Madison College of Michigan State University (MSU). Larry has a Master of Labor Relations from MSU. He received his JD degree from Wayne State University (WSU).

Larry’s professional experience includes a number of years in human resources at both EMU and WSU. He specialized in employee relations, employee compensation, employment, union/management relations and organizational development. In addition, he was with the law firm of Plunkett & Cooney, where he practiced labor and employment law.

Larry resides in Plymouth, Michigan with his wife and three children.
