Social work at EMU has a strong tradition of providing quality education through its nationally accredited programs in baccalaureate and graduate social work, preparing graduates for rewarding careers. Learn more about our mission and values.

We address the problems that are experienced by individuals and families such as violence, mental illness, drug abuse, racism, poverty, and ageism. We prepare our graduates with the knowledge and skills to address these issues at a community level.

Our class scheduling is responsive to the needs of both traditional and non-traditional students. Our faculty are experts in a wide range of professional activities are well published and have achieved many recognitions and awards. Our graduates leave our programs with a solid understanding of the human condition and the necessary skills needed to bring about change.
