Eastern Michigan University

Center for Multicultural Affairs

Welcome to the Center for Multicultural Affairs!  The CMA is dedicated to planning and implementing educational and cultural programs that improve campus climate and enhance community life at EMU.  We provide opportunities for cultural exploration, dialogue, personal reflection and leadership development that ensure rich learning experiences for all members of the university community inside and outside of the classroom.  While we sponsor a variety of multicultural initiatives throughout the year, our cultural heritage celebrations provide opportunities for faculty, staff and students to work together to develop programs that celebrate the rich cultural heritage of historically underrepresented groups.

The Center for Multicultural Affairs is committed to fostering a secure and supportive learning environment for students from all racial and ethnic backgrounds by coordinating with university offices, academic departments and student organizations to ensure that activities are inclusive and responsive to the needs of students at Eastern Michigan University.
