Biography
Dr. McCracken continues to teach the range of courses listed above along with serving as an Instructor for the Staff and Command Training program for Police an Fire personnel throughout Michigan which is housed in the Center for Regional and National Security in the College of Technology. Dr. McCracken has serve EMU as President of the local American Association of University Professors union for many terms and negotiated the first contract in 1974 and several consequent contracts. Dr. McCracken is the recipient of the Ronald Collins Distinguished Faculty Award for Service, The Michigan Association of Governing Boards Teaching Award, and The Teaching Excellence Award. A recent publication is: Listening and New Approaches to the Creation of Communication Centers. By: McCracken, Sally R., International Journal of Listening, 2006, Vol. 20, p60-61, 2p; (AN 23471324). Dr. McCracken's area of study and application focuses on Conflict Resolution and all of the integral skills involved in the process.
