Michael Marion arrived on campus in 2001. During his four years of competition on the EMU Forensic team he excelled in competitions across the country most notably winning nine individual State Championships, and a National Championship in Dramatic Duo in 2004. After completing his Master’s degree in 2008 Michael accepted the position of Assistant Director of Forensics. As such Michael has coached a multitude of students to state and national championships. As an instructor Michael has received several honors for classroom effectiveness, and is consistently evaluated at the highest levels. Primarily concerned with social justice issues, he strives to provide students with the skills and appropriate avenues to not only articulate issues of great personal and social value, but also with the knowledge and opportunities’ to enact real social change.
