The Gravedigger: A Frankenstein Play

(Staged Reading)  ALL TICKETS $7
Written by award-winning local playwright Joseph Zettelmaier
Directed by Lee Stille

"A child is always a child until it becomes a boy, then a man, then a corpse. Trust an old gravedigger on that." Kurt, Act II.

Set in the late 1700s, in one of Bavaria's forgotten cemeteries, a lone gravedigger discovers a hideously scarred man hiding in a fresh grave. What the gravedigger doesn't know is that the man is none other than the legendary monster created by a mad doctor. What the scarred man doesn't know is the gravedigger's hand in his creation. And what neither men know is that they are being hunted by their shadowed past.

The Gravedigger will be performed as a staged reading in the Sponberg Theatre on November 8 & 9 at 7pm and November 10 at 2pm. Recommended for audiences ages 13+.

MEET THE PLAYWRIGHT! There will be a brief talkback following each performance of the staged reading with the playwright, director and company members.
