Auditions & Production Opportunities

EMU Theatre auditions and crew calls are open to any currently enrolled EMU student in good academic standing. Students do not have to be a theatre major or minor to participate.

UPCOMING AUDITIONS AND CREW CALLS:

*2017 AUDITIONS for: The Butterfly, Spring Awakening, Lilly's Purple Plastic Purse and, Love Like Salt and Other Ordinary Wonders - on Thursday, Jan. 5 from 6-9pm, and Friday, Jan. 6, from 1-4pm , in the Lab Theatre/107 Quirk.
For initial auditions please prepare a 1-minute contemrporary monologue and 2 contrasting (ballad & up-tempo) 16-bar selections from musical theatre. Selections from Spring Awakening are acceptable. Please bring your sheet music in a 3-ring binder. Cold reading materials will also be available at auditions.

Saturday, Jan. 7 from 10am-1pm
Spring Awakening - Saturday, Jan. 7 from 1:30-5pm
Lilly's Purple Plastic Purse - Tuesday, Jan. 10 from 6-9pm
Love Like Salt... - Thursday, Jan. 12 from 7-9:30pm

For callbacks plan to stay the entire time and come prepared to move.

*AUDITIONS for: LAB BILL B (Naomi in the Living Room, and Little Duck) - on Friday, Jan. 6 from 6-9pm, in the Lab Theatre/107 Quirk.
Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. Please come dressed to move and plan to stay the entire time if possible. CALLBACKS forLAB BILL B are TBD if needed.

Script selections for all shows will be available beginning January 4 in Room 103 Quirk for a 2-hour checkout period. For more information please visit the 103 Quirk Theatre office or call 734.487.1220.

Winter 2016 Crew Calls - If you are interested in volunteering on a crew for one of our productions, please fill out a Crew Interest Form and return it to the Theatre Administration Office in 103 Quirk. Crew interest forms will be available at auditions and in 103 Quirk.
