Auditions & Production Opportunities

EMU Theatre auditions and crew calls are open to any currently enrolled EMU student in good academic standing. Students do not have to be a theatre major or minor to participate.


AUDITIONS for Fall Season 2014 - DR. FAUSTUS, AFTERNOON OF THE ELVES and TINTYPES auditions will be held on Thursday, September 4, from 6-9pm and Friday, September 5, from 4-7pm in the Sponberg Theatre. For these auditions please prepare:

  • 1 minute contemporary monologue
  • 1 minute Shakespearean monologue
  • Two 16-bar selections from musical theatre or popular music repertoire. Bring sheet music in a 3-ring binder. An accompanist will be provided.
  • Cold reading materials will be available for those who do not have something prepared.

NOTE: not all roles require singing.

Callbacks for Fall Season 2014:
Saturday, September 6, location TBA. Plan to stay the entire time and come dressed to move.
DR. FAUSTUS, 10am-1pm

Beginning August 25 thru September 3, script selections will be available in room 103 Quirk for a 2-Hour check-out period. For more information please visit the 103 Quirk Theatre office or call 734.487.1220.

Fall 2014 Semester Crew Calls - If you are interested in volunteering on a crew for one of our productions, please fill out a Crew Interest Form and return it to the Theatre Administration Office in 103 Quirk. Crew interest forms will be available at auditions and in 103 Quirk.
