Like most finance graduates this spring, Adam Kauer will be hitting the pavement looking for a job. But the senior from Goodrich, Michigan also plans to invest his time (and money) into his business, StorageBid.com, and the money he won for placing first in the Skandalaris Business Plan competition will help him reach that goal.
Recent accounting graduate, Sean Graham wants to improve the doctor-to-patient relationship. The resident from Commerce, Michigan graduated in April and envisions improved communication between doctors and patients by use of a mobile application that utilizes smartphone technology, similar to how "Doctors on Demand" utilizes video technology but with a few modifications and improvements.
Turning Dreams to Reality may have been the theme of the annual Sesi Midwest Entrepreneurship Conference February 14 at EMU, but maintaining a balance between your life and your business is just as important, according College of Business alum, and keynote speaker Steve Futrell. Steve stressed a new kind of entrepreneurship focused on a balanced life via a life business plan.
