Small Business & Technology Development Center

Eastern Michigan University is the host of the regional office of the Michigan Small Business and Technology Development Center (MI-SBTDC). Affiliated with the EMU College of Business, the SBTDC is one of 12 offices statewide, providing counsel, training and research services to the Michigan small business community.

The MI-SBTDC enhances Michigan's economic well-being by providing counseling, training, research and advocacy for new ventures, existing small businesses and innovative technology companies. With offices statewide, the MI-SBTDC positively impacts the economy by strengthening existing companies, creating new jobs, retaining existing jobs and helping companies define their path to success.
