Professional Summary

Cummings-Carson has been instrumental in developing and teaching the public relations course providing a theoretical and practical introduction to the PR profession. She has presented her research findings at various local, regional and national academic and professional conferences and has authored various articles on her research topics. Prior to joining the EMU faculty in '94, she earned a master's in communications from EMU and worked at numerous non-profit organizations and a Fortune 500 corporation in public relations management. She continues to freelance regularly as a grant writer and public relations counselor.
