The Department of Accounting and Finance has 27 full-time faculty holding the highest degree in their field and two full-time lecturers with Master’s degree. Nearly 90 percent of accounting faculty have CPA and/or other professional certifications and work experience. All graduate classes are taught by full-time faculty with class size limited to 25 students or less. This allows for great interaction and discussion of real-world issues. Beyond their teaching excellence, Accounting and Finance faculty actively mentor students and seek opportunities to connect them with accounting firms and other organizations. This opportunity to gain real-world experience, coupled with the chance to build relationships with people who can provide references, puts EMU Accounting and Finance students ahead of their peers.
All MST classes are taught by faculty who have significant work experience related to tax compliance, planning and policy elements of tax practice, and technology in the tax environment.
