Accreditation

The professional education programs of Eastern Michigan University have been continuously and fully accredited by the National Council for the Accreditation for Teacher Education since the beginning of that organization.  Programs were last reviewed in 2003 and the next review is scheduled to occur in 2010.

	The professional education programs of Eastern Michigan University are fully approved by the Michigan Department of Education.  Programs were last reviewed in 2003 and the next review is scheduled to occur in 2010. EMU teacher education program design is intended to be in compliance with the Michigan Entry-Level Standards for Teachers.
	In addition, Eastern Michigan University holds official recognitions from national professional organizations in the following fields that cover professional educators or other programming of the College of Education:
