Standards/Requirements
Not Met: The institution has outlined how requirements for major/minor meet the five broad test objectives. They do not, however, indicate how they meet individual sub-areas of each of those objectives. This needs to be done before program can be fully reviewed. The institution should also keep in mind that all objectives and sub-areas must be met by required courses and/or experiences. |

|
Additional
information needed/action to be taken: The institution indicates that all faculty have Ph.D.’s but do not indicate in which area the degree is held. Please provide this information. If
test-taker data is available for those who have completed the Sociology
major/minor as revised in 2001-2002, it should be included to allow reviewers
to see if revisions to program requirements have improved test scores. Please explain how candidates learn multiple
methods of student assessment with application to the sociology classes they
will be teaching. (Section 2.f.) |

|
Comments: The institution does an excellent job with regard
to Section 9. Methods for Instruction, and reviewers found the
submission to, generally, be well-written and clearly explained. |
