If you
are transferring from another institution, you can
talk with an adviser in the EMU
Transfer Service to find out more about opportunities at Eastern
as well as finding out how your previous course work will transfer.

If you
plan to become an elementary or secondary teacher and have not
yet earned your Bachelor degree, your first step is to attend
a group advising session before
you can make an appointment with an adviser. See the Elementary

If you
plan to become a teacher of young children, your first step is to attend
a group advising session before
you can make an appointment with an adviser for Early Childhood
Education. See the Early

Advising FAQ to learn more about the advising process for new students.
If you
plan to become a teacher and already have earned a Bachelor
degree, you will need to attend a POST-BA
group advising session. See Post

If you
plan to go into Special
Education or Health Promotion and Human Performance, you can check with these

MACRAO
Agreement: The purpose of the MACRAO agreement is to ensure that
a student who completes a specified distribution of general education
courses
at a Michigan community college will have satisfied certain general
education requirements
at signatory four-year institutions. Specifically, it is intended
to aid students in the transfer process from Michigan community
colleges to EMU.
