The College of Education Advising Center is part of the office of Academic Services. Our staff can provide some assistance with career and academic advising.

For academic advising, students must attend the appropriate group advising before meeting with an individual adviser. See the information for Prospective Students.

For career advising, students can make an appointment with Crystal Walrath (734.487.0400, 311 King Hall or cwalrath@emich.edu )

  • Monday - Friday - 8am to 5pm
    (by appointment)
  • The center is closed on Saturday and Sunday

Mission Statement

The College of Education Advising Center provides academic and career planning information to students interested in College of Education and professional educator programs at EMU. We help empower prospective and current students to make academic and career decisions based on the timely information, advice, and referrals we provide. The Center also serves as an advising information resource for faculty and staff, throughout the university, who need to know about College of Education and professional educator programs. We work with offices throughout the university to coordinate advising activities and contribute to various college and university initiatives.
