Students Pursuing Teacher Certification


Art Education
EMU has a visual arts education major to prepare art educators (grades K-12) in Michigan.  The first step is to contact the Department of Art for an appointment (114 Ford Hall, 734.487.3388).  The second step is to attend a Secondary Group Advising session.

Business & Technology Education
EMU has a Business, Management, Marketing and Technology major to prepare business educators (grades 6-12) in Michigan.  The first step is to make an appointment with an advisor (122 Sill Hall, 734.487.1161).  The second step is to attend a Secondary Group Advising session.

EMU prepares teachers for elementary education (K-6) and middle level teaching (6-8).  The first step is to attend an Elementary Group Advising session. All prospective students must attend one session before making an individual advising appointment.

Japanese Language & Culture
