COE alum Sandra J. Harris, superintendent of the Lincoln schools, will be leaving that position to become superintendent of the Oak Park schools.

COE alum Joe Ann Allen, principal of Willow Run's Henry Ford Elementary School, was featured in a full-page article in the March 12 Community Life section of the Ann Arbor News.  Allen is receiving chemotherapy but continues to work about three days a week.

According to an obituary in the Ann Arbor News, Dorothy M. Snedicor MacDonald, 86, of Trenton died recently. According to the obituary, she was a 1940 alum and taught for many years at the middle school level in the Ypsilanti schools.

Also according to the Ann Arbor News, Jane Ellen Ford Bonczyk, 69, died recently. According to the paper, Ms. Bonczyk received her masters degree in special education from Eastern Michigan University. She had been a teacher for many years in the Washtenaw Intermediate School District, specifically with High Pointe students."
