Applications are accepted and reviewed prior to each semester. Applications are available at the front desk in the Clinical Suite (135) in the Porter College of Education Building.
Client selections are limited to the number of clinicians (EU Reading Students) enrolled in the clinical class during the semester. Clients are welcomed to re-enroll as space is available based on the number of clinicians available. Services are provided for students in grades 1-6 who may need additional help in reading.
The Reading Clinic is housed in Suite 135 of the John W. Porter College of Education Building on the campus of Eastern Michigan University. Parking in the McKenny or Oakwood gated lots is available to non-EMU clients. Follow the driving directions available on the link below.
Student assessments are administered to establish reading levels, reading skills/strategies of students. A tutoring program is developed based on the results of selected student assessments. Individual instruction/tutoring is provided based upon a prescribed program development.
