In the Department of Teacher Education we are proud of being teachers. We believe teachers have the power and responsibility to make the world a better place. It is our goal to prepare teachers who will make a difference in the lives of their students, in their schools, and in their communities. The Department of Special Education is the largest and most comprehensive special education unit in the country. Graduates from our department have been recognized for their work in the field both locally and nationally. The Department of Leadership & Counseling provides top-quality educational experiences for a student population composed primarily of adult learners who are employed on a full-time basis in their respective fields.
