The meeting
was called to order by Judy Williston, Co-Chair
Minutes
from 12-04-01were approved.
Sue Stickel
presented draft NCATE materials for the School Counseling Program. This draft was based on materials submitted
to the Council for the Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational
Programs (CACREP). This is the national
accrediting body for counseling programs.
Chris Bocklage
presented draft NCATE materials for the Art Education Program. This program revision was based on standards
set by the National Art Education Association (NAEA).
Carolyn
Finch presented materials concerning the preparation of National Folios. Some, but not all, advanced programs will need
to submit national folios. An emphasis
was placed on consulting with program coordinators at professional associations
about the preparation of folios. A
listing of coordinators was provided in the materials.
The next
meeting will be February 19 in Room 300A/D
