Minutes of Meeting on 1-14-03

The meeting was called to order by Kaia Skaggs, Co-Chair.

Minutes for 11-19-02 were presented and approved

Alane Starko updated the committee concerning information needed from each graduate program for the NCATE review. These materials will be made available on line.

A list titled “General NCATE Information for Graduate Programs” was presented.

The listed items are due to Alane by February 1, 2003. They should be submitted on disc. It was emphasized that the materials requested are from already existing documents and will be relatively brief.

A question was raised concerning the need for faculty vitas. Jim Berry will follow up with information regarding the submission of faculty vita for the NCATE review.

Jackie Tracy and Eboni Zamani presented a proposal for a graduate/advanced graduate certificate in Community College Leadership.

It was moved and seconded that the Advanced Programs Committee recommend the approval of the Certificate in Community College Leadership.

The motion passed

The next meeting will be February 18, 2003.
