1. Minutes for 4-6-04 were presented and approved

2. The agenda was approved

 

Jackie Tracy presented a proposal for:

 

 Course Revisions - Educational Leadership and Counseling

EDLD 640 – Course Number Change

EDLD 840 – Course Number Change

COUN 692 – Title, Course Description, Credit Hour Change

COUN 694 – Title and Course Description Change

                  COUN 696 – Title and Course Description Change

                  COUN 689 – Title And Course Description Change

 

It was moved and seconded to approve the proposal

The motion passed

 

3. Jackie Tracy presented a proposal for:

 

New Course - Educational Leadership and Counseling

EDLD 714 – Data-Based Decision-Making for Educ. Leaders

 

It was moved and seconded to approve the proposal

4. Jackie Tracy presented a proposal for:

 

Program Revision – Ed.D. Program in Educational Leadership

Remove EDLD 840 and replace with EDLD 714

 

It was moved and seconded to approve the proposal

 

The motion passed

 

5. Don Bennion presented a proposal for a Graduate Certificate in Educational Assessment.  The certificate meets needs for an 18 hour certificate to advance student’s expertise in school based assessment.

 

This proposal also includes the following new courses:  EDPS 626 Principles and Issues in Educational Assessment, EDPS 627 designing Classroom Assessments, EDPS 628 Analyzing Student Learning, EDPS 629 Assessment and Program/School Improvement, and EDPS 667 Principles of Educational Research

 

It was moved and seconded to approve the new courses as listed:
