Minutes for
Linda Adler-Kassner presented a proposal for a Graduate Certificate in the Teaching of Writing. The certificate is intended for graduate students who wish to improve and advance their knowledge of and qualification for teaching writing. It was moved and seconded to approve the proposal The motion passed
Betsy Morgan presented a proposal for a graduate certificate in Japanese. The certificate is intended for graduate students and international students who wish to improve their facility and teaching skills in Japanese. It was moved and seconded to approve the proposal The motion passed
Credit hour changes were presented to increase the credit
hours in EDPS 677 and 687 from 2 to 3 credit hours. The change is needed due to
need to more fully cover the material and to offer more content in both
quantitative and qualitative methodology. It was moved and seconded to approve
the proposal with the recommendation that implementation issues be discussed at
the
Lynne Rockladge presented a proposed program change in LD. This is an internal change that will not affect other departments. It was noted that when EDPS 677 becomes a 3 credit hour course the credit hours will increase again to 37. It was moved and seconded to approve the proposal The motion passed The meeting was adjourned. The next meeting is April 20
