Approve minutes of previous meeting: 9-0-0.
Foreign languages: We had a long discussion of the revision of teaching majors
and minors in German, French, Spanish and Japanese. Secondary revisions were
made in German, French, Spanish, as well as an addition K-12 endorsement.
Japanese remains only a K-12 endorsement. Discussion issues included the viability
of EMU students studying abroad as required.
Program was approved
Special ed class: SPGN 481- 3 credit hour course. The
committee discussed whether this class was enough to fulfill NCATE technology
requirements, and whether its goals and objectives were written properly to
ensure accurate assessment.
