                    i. Basic Programs Committee.   The Basic Programs Committee recommends approval of the following curricular items:

(a) Physics folio.  Committee comments: Aconcerns about the lack of complete sentences, the use of textbook and test references without full context, and wondered whether some items listed as >not taught= (i.e., fusion) were not part of some physics class.@

(b) Biology folio.  Committee comments: Awondered whether in some boxes where only an elective class is listed, if there might be another required class which applies as well.@

( c) ESSC folio.  Committee comments: Anoted the absence of the methods syllabus for this program in the folio.@

(d) Chemistry folio: Committee comments: Aasked that sections of the folio on the absence of biochemistry be rewritten in a more positive fashion or left out entirely.@

(e) Approval of changes to ESSC program.
