Open Lab

  • All students must sign-in at the front desk with a valid EMU ID card before using the open lab.
  • Absolutely no food or drink allowed in the lab. Students/ Instructors will be asked to put away any beverages or food if seen by the lab staff. Students' lab privileges will be revoked if this policy is not followed.
  • Cell phones should be used in the hallway, not in the lab.
  • Students/faculty are NOT allowed to print more than 10 pages per day in the computer lab. If a student prints over ten (10) pages, he/she will be warned by the lab staff and next time will lose lab privileges. Making multiple copies for class distribution is not allowed. (For copying needs, students may go to the ERC lab in Room 100 Porter).
  • No software programs, of any kind, may be downloaded from the Internet.
  • It is NOT the responsibility of the lab staff to teach students how to use a program. Their responsibilities include checking students in and making sure the computers/software programs are working.
Computer Lab Classrooms

  • Absolutely no food or drink allowed in the classrooms.
  • Students arriving early will be asked to wait outside the Lab until class begins, or until the instructor arrives.
  • Classroom users are not allowed to print more than ten (10) pages per class period.
  • Contact Sylvia Bethea   @ (734)487-7120, x 2573 in the Dean's office to schedule use of one of the technology classrooms.
  • To schedule use of the lab, wireless cart, and PDA cart, please see the lab front desk or call (734)487-0152.
Computer Lab Classroom Requests

     

  • Requests for use/installation of current software require one week advance notice.
  • Requests for use/installation of new software require one semester advance notice.

Access to the lab/classroom resources is governed by EMU's acceptable use guidelines.
