http://www.nyise.org/blind.htm New York Institute of Special Education contains numerous links to blindness related issues and adaptive technology vendors such as Duxbury, Raised Dot Computing, and Enabling Technologies.

http://www.loc.gov/nls/  National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped (NLS) page includes eligibility guidelines, online forms, listing of services, and a variety of other "talking book links".

http://www.brailler.com/links.htm Provided by Enabling Technologies, this site lists Great Text Links or pages that are accessible with adaptive equipment.  This is frequently updated and many of the now accessible sites are surprising.

http://www.assistivemedia.org is Ann Arbor based and developed by a person with a visual impairment.  Contains online audio and literary works for use with adaptive equipment.

http://www.nfb.org National Federation of the Blind home page.  Includes info on The Braille Mentoring Program.

http://www.infocon-inc.com Imaging Print on Demand, produces large print books and textbooks. 

http://www.brailleintl.org/  Braille International is one of the largest producers of Braille.

http://www.nbp.org/  National Braille Press carries self help, computer instruction and other books in Braille.

http://www.blind.state.ia.us/assist/  Project Assist is a new source of cassette and text-based tutorials with Windows. This federally funded project has produced a variety of tutorials for using Windows applications with popular screen readers; all tutorials are free of charge and are available as downloadable files or can be ordered on audiocassette.

http://www.smartcode.com  Features a shareware program, called Smartdoc, that automatically saves help files as text file. Smartdoc is a software package that is very useful for creating accessible documentation from a Windows help file. This Windows 3.1/95 program can convert almost any help file into a text file.

http://www.nanopac.com/Duxbury.htm  NanoPac Inc., carries blindness related products such as Duxbury Braille Translation software, JAWS screen access software and Zoomtext.  Also carries augmentative communication devices, voice recognition, environmental controls and software for persons with learning disabilities.

http://www.prodworks.com  Productivity Works carries PW Webspeak, an accessible Web browser for persons with blindness. 

http://www.sighted.com/ Sighted Electronics sells two dimensional Braille displays, Braille to Print translators and other blindness-related technology.

http://www.kurzweiledu.com  Kurzweil Educational Systems carries scanners with OCR software for the visually impaired and learning disabled.  Kurzweil also produces a voice recognition system.

http://www.tvi-web.com/  Technology for the Visually Impaired Inc. carries Syntha Voice synthesizers, Thiel Braille printers, Rainbow Reader, Voice Diary and Braillex Braille displays.

http://www.tack-tiles.com/  Tack Tiles are interchangeable with Lego blocks and used for instruction in Braille.

http://www.aph.org/  American Printing House for the Blind web page.  One of the oldest producers of blindness products, APH also has an online database Louis, which allows users to locate books in alternative formats.

http://www.lssgroup.com/  LS&S has one of the largest selections of products for persons with visual and/or hearing impairments.
