A HOLIDAY MESSAGE FROM THE DEAN
To the staff, faculty, and students of the EMU College of Education; to our friends and colleagues throughout the campus; to our friends, alumni, and supporters in the K-12 schools and elsewhere in the community--best wishes for happy holidays.
At a time of year when festivities cut across religious traditions and cultural backgrounds, we reflect on the many successes--some big, some small--of 1992. We give thanks to and express appreciation for the many who have contributed to these successes.
The winter holiday and the end of the calendar year, though, are not so much a time for looking back as they are for looking forward--1993, additional beginnings, resolutions to improve personal and professional life, etc.
In 1993 may we continue and expand our efforts to serve students and the profession. May we resolve to do more and better in our efforts--directly and indirectly--to improve schools and the other agencies with which we work--and through them the children and youth of this troubled planet. And may we all prosper in these endeavours. --Jerry H. Robbins
