November 11-14--accreditation visit, Council on Accreditation of the National Recreation and Parks Association.

November 12--nominations due for ASCD Outstanding Dissertation Awards.

November 15--manuscripts due to Teaching Education on "Teaching on the Cutting Edge: Transforming Students & Ourselves, Schools & Societies"; proposals due to Joyce Foundation on restructuring, parent involvement, and school finance.  Proposals due to FHP foundation on health care, including studies of national health issues.

November 20--EMU/MSU chapters of PDK sponsored conference on "Integrating the Curriculum," Kellogg Center, East Lansing.

December 1--AARP Andrus Foundation proposals due on alcohol/medication misuse/chemical dependency, retirement planning, education and aging, aging and mental health.  Manuscripts due to JTE on "Teacher Education Faculty in the 21st Century."

December 17--proposals due for training personnel for the education of individuals with disabilities.

mid-January--proposals due for research, children with severe disabilities; secondary education/transitional services for disabled youth; services for deaf-blind; media research/production for persons with disabilities.

February 1--applications due to Hatachi Foundation for support of community improvement projects, including the needs of youths and families. 

February 12--ATE state unit art competition entries due.

February 15--Proposals due to FHP foundation on health care, including studies of national health issues.

April 1--proposals on mental health and AIDS due to Ittleson Foundation.

May 1--paper proposals due for "African Americans and Their Great Plains Experience."

May 15--Proposals due to FHP foundation on health care, including studies of national health issues.

Open--William T. Grant foundation proposals on youth behavior problems and mental health; Robert Wood Johnson Foundation proposals on mental health;  

Ford Motor Co. Fund proposals on employee/school relationship, mathematics/science education, minority training;

Danforth Foundation proposals on "a good beginning for every child," collaboration among schools and agencies serving needy students, and improved preparation and development opportunities for education leaders. 

HUD "drug elimination" projects.

Edna McConnell Clark Foundation projects on children, disadvantaged youths, and homeless families.
