SPECIAL RECOGNITION OF PROGRAMS

Though the Department of Foreign Languages and Bilingual Studies has received impressive levels of funding in the past, the Spanish program itself has not recently received any grant funding. Some individual Spanish faculty have received grant support (both internal and external) for their research projects, however.

Numerous other universities and colleges have imitated our business-language programs. Our programs were pioneering efforts some 25 years ago and they remain models of their kind today.

Though it is older than five years, Anne Kelleher's book Learning From Success (New York: Peter Lang, 1995) features a lengthy chapter recognizing the merit of our business-language programs.
