Tuesday, November 18, 2003

            Breakfast.  At your leisure, Bentley’s Restaurant, Marriott Hotel.  Charge to your room.

            8:00 a.m.  Transportation leaves from hotel lobby to Porter Building at EMU.  Shawn Quilter, Ian Haslam, Don Staub, drivers.

            8:00 a.m.  Team Room (Porter 205A) open.  Some/all of the following technology helpers will be nearby at all times the team room is open: Pawan Chennama (stationed at machine #20 just outside the Team Room),  Sam Chen, Peiyi Lin, Uchenna Chuka-Obah, Graduate Assistants.  Telephone access and copier are available all day across the hall in Porter 206.

            8:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.  Tes Mehring and Sue Wittick meet with Dean Jerry Robbins in Porter 310.

            9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.  Interview:  Paul Schollaert, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, 106 Welch Hall.  Melissa Heuker will be near the Team Room, available to escort. 

            10:15 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.  Group Interview: Representatives of Faculty Members Who Teach On-Line Courses.  Place: Porter 205E.  Scott Whitehouse will be near the Team Room, available to escort. 

            10:15 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.  Group Interview: Representatives of University Supervisors of Student Teaching.  Place: Porter 206L.  Deejarnay Tabscott will be near the Team Room, available to escort.

            Noon to 1:00 p.m.  Walk to Gallery I (note different location from previous day), McKenny Union for working lunch.  Escort: Melissa Heuker.

            1:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.  Group Interview: Teacher Quality Project.  Place: Porter 128C.  Pat Pokay and/or Georgea Langer will meet the interviewers at the Team Room.

            1:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.  Interview:  Barbara Gorenflo (student teaching, admissions to initial program).  Place: Porter 206.  Barbara Gorenflo will meet the interviewers at the Team Room.

            1:30 p.m. to 2:15 p.m.  Group Interview: Representatives of Members of the Basic Programs Committee.  Place: Porter 128C.  Deejarnay Tabscott will be near the Team Room, available to escort.

            1:30 p.m. to 2:15 p.m.  Open meeting with representatives of the Faculty.  Porter 202.  Jason Hall will be near the Team Room, available to escort.

            2:30 p.m. to 3:15 p.m.  Group Interview: Representatives of Members of the Advanced Programs Committee.  Place: Porter 310D (Mott-Manley Conference Room).  Jason Hall will be near the Team Room, available to escort.

            2:30 p.m. to 3:15 p.m.  Group Interview: Representatives of Heads of Departments  Involved with Professional Education.  Place: Porter 301 B/C.  Someone will be near the Team Room, available to escort. 

            3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Travel to/from EMU-Livonia to interview faculty, staff, students at an off-campus location. Leave from Team Room. Guides: Dawn Malone and Jackie Tracy.

            4:00 p.m. to 4:45 p.m.  Group Interview: Representatives of Student Teachers.  Place: Porter 301 B/C.  Deborah Sakowski will be near the Team Room, available to escort.

            4:00 p.m. to 4:45 p.m.  Group Interview: Representatives of Cooperating Teachers.  Place: Porter 313Q.  Deejarnay Tabscott will be near the Team Room, available to escort.

            4:00 p.m. to 4:45 p.m.  Group Interview: Representatives of Local-Area School Administrators.  Place: Porter 310D (Mott-Manley Conference Room).  Jason Hall will be near the Team Room, available to escort.

            5:00 p.m. to 5:45 p.m.  Group Interview: Representatives of Completers of Advanced Programs.  Place: Porter 301 B/C.  Someone will be near the Team Room, available to escort.

            5:00 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. On-line chat with students taking courses on line. Place: Porter 205E.

            5:00 p.m. to 5:45 p.m.  Group Interview: Representatives of Advanced Students in Internships.  Place: Porter 206L.  Someone will be near the Team Room, available to escort.

            5:20 p.m. Speaker phone telephone interview with faculty and students in an Urban Teacher Program class at EMU-Detroit (Northwest Activities Center), taught by Pat Williams-Boyd. Place: Porter 304B. Don Staub will be near the Team Room, available to escort.

            Approximately 6:00 p.m.  Transportation from Porter Building to Marriott.  Drivers: Shawn Quilter, Ian Haslam, Don Staub.

            6:30 p.m.  Dinner.  Private dining room inside Bentley’s Restaurant at the Marriott Hotel.  Order from the menu, charge to a room. 

            After Dinner.  Team activities as specified by the team chair.  Technology helper (Pal) will be on call at the hotel, approximately 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
