Summary of Assessments
Prior to Student Teaching
Numerous mid-program assessments have been put into place
in recent times. Results
of these may be found in Exhibits 2.3.A through 2.3.Y, inclusive. However,
the data reported are for some group of candidates, rather
than by individual.
For many years, admission to student teaching has required
completion of various requirements. These requirements may be seen in the
EMU
2003-2005 Undergraduate Catalog, p. 170. If a candidate meets
the requirements, she or he is admitted to student teaching.
Our data system does not yet permit us to gather and analyze
these data systematically. However, our Assessment Plan, presented in Exhibit
2.1.B, calls for the initial aggregation and review of
data gathered in
recent months to occur in the Fall of 2003.
