Recruiting and Admission Policies
A
wide variety of information about institutional recruiting
and admission practices for both undergraduate and graduate
students is given on the EMU Admissions web
site.
At
the unit level, a video tape, suitable for student recruiting,
is near completion. In
general, each department is responsible for specific
recruitment of graduate and
undergraduate students. A relatively recent gift to the
COE has made it possible to provide each COE department with
app. $15,000 to use for expansion of promotional materials.
EMU's professional education recruiting
tools rely heavily on web site materials. The COE web site is heavily used. Counters
placed on pages of particular interest to prospective students
indicate averages of dozens of "hits" per day.
