On September 21, the EMU Board of Regents approved the Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) program. This program will provide greater opportunity for potential teachers, especially in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM); more in the current edition of Focus EMU.

IMPORTANT: Changes to the Elementary Education Certification Program - Effective July 1, 2010

Eastern Michigan University launched its new elementary education certification program on July 1, 2010. Students admitted to the initial teacher preparation program after July 1, 2010 will follow the requirements for the new program.

2010-2011 Michigan Test for Teacher Certification Dates
