The Office of Urban, Community, and International Outreach (OUCIO), formerly known as the Office of Urban Education and Educational Equity, is the where the College of Education organizes and administers various partnerships in education. The scope of the office has changed, though the goal of strong community and K-12 partners continues.

The Charter Schools Office at Eastern Michigan University oversees eight public school academies located in the Michigan counties of Wayne, Oakland, Washtenaw and Genesee. EMU's Charter Schools Office provides the academies with the guidance and technical support needed to maintain the high standards to which each school aspires.
