Research conducted by Eastern Michigan University's College of Education faculty, staff, and students seeks to understand, inform, and influence educational policy, practice, and process in the state of Michigan, the United States, and internationally. Our research interests are as diverse as our faculty and include work in:
- Disability Studies
- Speech and Language
- Educational Technology
- Early Childhood Education
- School Leadership
- Social and Environmental Justice
- Urban Education
Our research has led to scholarly publications, grant-funded projects, and centers. Most importantly, our research is integrated and coordinated with professional educators in various settings and disciplines, mental health practitioners, and speech and language pathologists. It seeks to be influenced by these professionals as well as to have a positive impact on the human community at large.
