Graduate Admissions

Application Process

  1. Apply to Eastern Michigan University
  2. Submit the following to the Office of Admissions:
    • Official Transcripts.
    • Two (2) Letters of Recommendation.
      • If not recent graduate, professional recommendations are acceptable.
    • GRE Scores.

Application Deadlines

Fall Semester:  Applications are due January 15th
Winter Semester:  Applications are due July 15th

Admission Minimum Criteria

  1. Undergraduate degree with a GPA of 3.0 or greater.
  2. GRE Scores
    • Verbal = 400
    • Quantitative = 400
    • Writing = 3.5
  3. Strong Letters of Recommendation.
  4. International students must have a 243 score on the TOEFEL (computer version).

Profile of Average Applicant

    1. GPA = 3.51
    2. GRE
      • Verbal = 488
      • Quantitative = 574
      • Writing = 4.22
