Valid for up to five (5) years, expires June 30.

Complete ONE of the following:

• Six (6) credit hours in a planned course of study.
• 180 State Continuing Education Clock Hours (SCECHs).
• 150 annual District Provided Professional Development (DPPD) hours.
• Or a combination of the three (3).

Semester credits, SCECHs or DPPD must have been completed within the five-year period preceding the date of application and after the date of issuance of the previous certificate.

Teachers can remain at the Professional level for the remainder of their careers. The Professional must be renewed every five (5) years by completing ONE of the following:

• Six (6) semester hours in a planned course of study.
• 180 State Continuing Education Clock Hours (SCECHs).
• 150 annual District Provided Professional Development (DPPD) hours.
• Or a combination of semester hours, SCECHs, and DPPD hours. 30 SCECHs equals 1 semester hour; 30 DPPD equals 30 SCECHS or 1 semester hour.

Semester hours, SCECHs or DPPD must have been completed within the five (5) year period preceding the date of application and after the date of issuance of the previous certificate.
