Types of Teachers

At Eastern Michigan University, you can be prepared to become any of the following
kinds of teachers through selection of the appropriate major and by completing
other requirements.

Approved Majors for the Elementary Program

If a student has been admitted to the post-baccalaureate certification program
and has a major in his/her bachelor's degree in one of certain fields, that field
may be used to satisfy the major requirements.

In addition, you may become a teacher of the following fields through a minor in that field and the satisfaction of other requirements.

Approved Minors for the Elementary Program and the Special Education--Elementary Programs
