  • Tickets for family members and guests of graduates must be obtained in advance
  • No tickets are available at the commencement ceremony or on commencement day
  • Tickets are required for entry to the Convocation Center -- if you do not have tickets you will not be allowed to enter the building

In order to accommodate all the family and friends coming to celebrate, all attendees must get tickets from their graduate in advance. Seating is first come, first served.

Each graduate is allowed up to six tickets for family or friends. Graduates can only get tickets between Dec. 7 starting at 10 a.m. and Dec. 15 until 9 p.m.. You can get tickets in person with a photo ID at any EMU Ticket Office or by calling 734.487.2282 during regular Ticket Office hours. The student calling MUST be on the approved list of graduates and know their EID number. A current mailing and email address is required to complete the order. All phone orders will be charged a $4 processing fee per order and the tickets will be mailed up until 9 a.m. on Dec. 14. Subject to availability, graduates can purchase up to four additional tickets for $5 each. 

If any additional tickets remain after Dec. 15, graduates may continue to purchase their up to four additional tickets for $5 each (limit two per day). There's no guarantee tickets will be available after Dec. 15 at 9 p.m. Tickets ordered by phone after Dec. 15 will be available for will call pick up during regular business hours.

No tickets are available commencement day. 

Accessible seating/access is available, but must be arranged at the time of ticket pickup.
