
The Office of Advancement Communications is responsible for producing alumni and other stakeholder publications for Eastern Michigan University. It oversees the production of the following magazines:
Exemplar, the University magazine of EMU distributed three times a year (September, January and May) to donors and other key stakeholders of the University.
The Edge, the alumni magazine of EMU distributed three times a year (September, December and April) to all alumni (currently only mailed to alumni living in the 50 United States).
Casenotes, the donor and alumni magazine of the College of Arts and Sciences distributed twice a year in the fall and spring.
TechInnovations, the donor and alumni magazine of the College of Technology distributed once a year in the fall.
Eastern Educator, the donor and alumni magazine of the College of Education distributed once a year in the fall.
In addition, it is responsible for the creation and distribution of the e-Edge electronic newsletter, which goes to all alumni with an e-mail address on record with the Office for Alumni Relations, as well as other electronic newsletters specific to a college. It also maintains the www.emich.edu/communications Web site.
The office is part of University Marketing and Communications, which also includes the offices of University Communications, Web Communications and New Media, University Licensing and Marketing Services and University Publications, as well as WEMU-FM and the University switchboard.
