EMU Unit Identity Lockups

A Unit Identity Lockup distinguishes a specific unit of the university.  Lockups allow units to leverage the Eastern Michigan University brand and enhance their profile as part of a larger institution. Lockups are not intended to serve as titles, mastheads, or the primary visual focus of any piece of communication.
Lockups are not used in website headers, business cards or stationery — all of which have templates designed to display the unit name in plain text.

Two versions are provided: either a horizontal lockup or a vertical lockup. In addition, there are external and internal versions of each.

The external version (with the University Signature) is intended for broad public audiences or situations where the Eastern Michigan University context has not been established. The internal version (without the University Signature) is intended for campus audiences.

Units should not attempt to develop their own logos, create their own lockups, or embellish a lockup in any way.
