• Download the Identity Standards Guide
The “logo cops” have retired. The Division of Communications no longer requires university units to share their communications (web, ads, publications) for review and approval. We will provide assistance and consultation upon your request. At a minimum, all employees and vendors are expected to adhere to the university’s official identity system.
Identity standards
The identity system includes four main elements:
logos, colors, typefaces and grid. The identity standards
guide can be downloaded here: www.emich.edu/marcomm/EMU_ID_Standards.pdf
EMU logos
General University and athletic logos are
available online at emich.edu/logos.
For unit logos (those with your unit/departmental name
in the logo), please check the departmental
logo download site.
If your logo is not there, contact Rhonda DeLong
at webcomm@emich.edu.
Colors
University colors are green (PMS 349) and white.
Black may also be used. There are no additional accent
colors for university publications and communications.
Fonts/typefaces
EMU’s official typefaces are Myriad
Pro and Arno Pro. These should be used in all external
communications. Additional accent typefaces, such as a
script headline, are allowed, depending on the context.
Your computer should have Myriad Pro as part of your standard
font set. If you need a copy of Arno Pro, contact Sheilah
Larnhart at slarnhar@emich.edu.
