Expectation
Co-op Placement and Involvement:
- Visit the Career Services Center, 311 King Hall (734-487-0400),
and pick up an information packet outlining the program and
application process.
- Plan on meeting with an advisor at the Career
Services Center.
- Meet with the Computer Science Faculty Sponsor
to determine if you have met the minimum departmental
requirements.
- Meet with your Co-op Advisor at the Career
Services Center to submit resume and student agreement form
with appropriate signatures.
- Co-op will refer and arrange interviews or
you can seek a placement on your own and immediately inform
your Co-op Advisor.
- Once a Co-op offer is accepted, you will
be given a Work Learning Agreement (WLA), a Student and Employer
Evaluation, and a Due Date schedule by your Co-op Advisor.
- Meet back with the Computer Science Faculty
Sponsor to discuss learning objectives to be achieved during
your Co-op experience.
- Periodically contact your Computer Science
Faculty Sponsor during your placement for updates of your
progress.
- The Computer Science Faculty Sponsor will
try to visit you on site at least once.
- Upon completion of your placement, you must
submit your evaluation and your employer's evaluation
to the Co-op office.
- The Co-op office will forward a copy to the
Computer Science Faculty Sponsor for issuance of a grade.
- If you cannot complete the assignment by the
due date, contact your Computer Science Faculty Sponsor to
inquire about a possible extension.
