Changing
your greeting
Direct Line
From your line, dial 7-3500.
Enter passcode when prompted.
Press 8 (User Options.)
Press 4 (Change Greeting.)
Shared Line
Dial 7-3500. When system answers, press the * key.
(Older model phones, press the #, then *.)
Enter 5-digit mailbox number, followed by another *.
(Example: 29999*)
Enter passcode when prompted.
Off-campus access
Dial 734.487.3500.
Enter your mailbox number, followed by the * key.
Playing Messages
Pause
Press 1 to pause message for 30 seconds.
Press * to resume.
Rewind
Press * to rewind 5 seconds.
Fast-forward
Press # to fast-forward 5 seconds.
Saving Messages
A saved message is retained on the system for
2 weeks from the date it was last played.
Deleted Messages
Unlike e-mail, deleted messages cannot be retrieved.
Bypassing Greeting
When reaching another EMU direct line voice
mailbox, you can bypass a lengthy greeting by pressing any number
key 1-9.
This will take you directly to the “beep,” where
you can leave your message.
Exiting Voicemail System
Always press 9 when exiting the voicemail system to
immediately free the port for the next user.
