The Ph.D. in Technology curriculum at Eastern Michigan University prepares students to become leaders in a global environment where technology is growing exponentially across a broad spectrum of disciplines. Grounded by a solid foundation of Ph.D. core courses and Ph.D. research skills courses, students work with an adviser to customize a program of study to their unique interests. The many diverse graduate programs housed within the College of Technology give students a great deal of flexibility when designing a program of study.
The Ph.D. in Technology curriculum is based on the following perspectives:
- How science and society interact to shape technology applications;
- How technology applications are managed and assessed in society;
- How technical, organizational and human dimensions influence technology applications;
- How technological practices, ethics, and technological literacy impact each other.
