I hold a teaching certificate from another state. How do I transfer it to a Michigan teaching certificate?

Application is made through the Michigan Department of Education (MDE), Office of Professional Preparation Services at:,1607,7-140-5234_5683_14795---,00.html Michigan will accept a valid out-of-state teaching certificate as closely as possible. Michigan has a reciprocal agreement for regular teaching certificates from other states. This means that Michigan will match the certificate and offer comparable grade level and subject area endorsements if possible.
