About us

The Bachelor of Science in Technology Management degree program provides many opportunities for a student transferring from a community college with a technical degree. The Technology Management program can accept up to three years of community college technical and general education credit and help you complete your degree at Eastern Michigan University in one additional year through an articulation agreement.

Relevancy: The curriculum in the Technology Management program was designed to meet the needs of employers.

Affordability: The collaboration between community colleges and EMU through the development of innovative “3 + 1” articulation agreements makes this degree a very affordable option. Total costs of tuition and fees is less than $16,000.

Accessibility: The learning environment has been designed to meet the needs of the adult learner, with core courses offered online, in the evenings, and in hybrid format (combination of online learning and face-to-face meetings).

Program Mission: The mission of the Technology Management Program is to prepare undergraduate students for management and leadership positions in businesses and industries and continued study at the master's degree level. Additionally, the program prepares students to effectively apply the concepts of technology management to the development of organizational strategy and change.

Transfer students in good standing are readily accepted into the program. The application of transfer credits as direct equivalents or substitutes for University requirements is determined by the Admissions Office and the appropriate departmental advisor. There are currently eleven "3 + 1" Articulation Agreements in place for the Technology Management Program. Students with approved technical degrees from several community colleges (including Henry Ford, Jackson, Monroe, Schoolcraft and Washtenaw) may transfer between 90-94 credit hours into the Technology Management Program at EMU. If an articulation agreement does not apply, community college transfer students must complete a minimum of two years (60 credit hours) of course work at EMU.
